I parked my bike right outside the place where my friend lives, and decided (after a little thought) to just leave the baguette and pain au chocolat. I knew I wouldn't be too long, and I rarely worry about my bike or what's in the basket when I'm out and about in Cajarc, Montbrun, or Cadrieu.
Although I was enjoying the emptiness of the village, a couple had made it there ahead of me. That didn't stop me. We weren't visiting the same friend. You actually have many to choose from inside St. Etienne.
I lit my candle in thanks and gratefulness once more, placing it below St. Therese of Lisieux. I like to sit in the pews in the back where I reflect on my journey to my heaven on earth and all that makes it remarkable and so. I breathe. I feel my heart flutter in my chest. I know I am alive and grateful for all that is my life.
I was particularly grateful this morning. Ever since our arrival in May, I have been strugglng to find my comfort in the flow to our lives here.
Getting on my bike again was one of the first steps on that road.
We are feeling good again and in the natural flow. HUGE MERCI!
Back on the outside, the woman in the couple asked where I got my basket goodies. I was able to give her directions, and realized on my way out of town that she would pass two now that Roux Patisserie was open and Lagarde was further down.
Choices are always a good thing.
On my road home, I was looking down at my basket and thought:
"There's something missing that should be here for our France life!"
Look in that basket!
What do you think might be missing?
Happy Thursday!
Shame on me, wine didn't even cross my mind. Think colorful!-Also, just sent you a pm on fb-Hope all is well-Love, Laury and Sam
