With my petit a petit work continuing on the re-excavation of the lower terrace and staircases, I knew one of my next steps would be to wash down the stone that I had already uncovered. That gives me a clearer picture of any final touches that need to be made! Last night's thunderstorm and this morning's continuing rain have done that job for me! What a treat!
This re-excavation is easier than the first that I completed back in 2005. Then, I had no idea what I would find and there was close to a foot of soil instead of just the slight layer or so that I have today.
Enjoy this shot below that was take in 2005 when I finished the work! It was shocking to see for both the stone and the starkness of the surrounding land.
We're feeling very overgrown and just a bit "too much" to me everywhere. Once fall and winter kick in, I'll be getting back to balancing our surroundings a little more.
Happy Tuesday!
Am so excited about this trip for y'all. Please take lots of photos and keep me posted. The Vernissage is on the 26th...and then we ease on into fall around here. Lots of Love-Moi

Absolutely, fortunately today is rainy, cool, overcast and no or low humidity. Can't really do much today, but plan to be back out tomorrow. When do you leave for your trip? Lots of Love to you and Bodil-Laury and Sammie Cat
