At the close of that trip to the Lot during '98, Stu and I talked a lot about what may or may not have been in my future. Every time I see this Tour de Faure Door, I remember his comment to me:
"Another door will open, Laury!"
Little did either of us know at the time, what a huge role he would play in that future.
Interestingly, my wander in Cajarc was chock full of doors the other day.
Doors speak to me.
They give my story weaving mind an invitation to run amuck.
Each door has its own story and relationship to the people who reside within, as well as those who only come and go and touch it.
Hmmm, maybe even with those of us who photograph them!
I picked up Place Carnot near Besse.
Each of the doors I'm sharing in the post can be found on that Place, except the last one here.
As I turned the corner to head to St.Etienne, this last one was just so pretty I just couldn't resist.
Pick a door, any door.
