With friends Pat and Graeme making their way here for a Sunday afternoon arrival, I didn't want to jump any guns and share surprises and treats that I'd picked up along the way to enjoy in advance of their visit.
That defeats the purpose of SURPRISE!
I'd already known that a stop at Roux's Patisserie was going to be in order, but I was excited to find yet another Cru Bourgeois at the Intermarche!
I had some still life fun around the Chatette with all of our goodies, and did something that I haven't done since my arrival in May: I made special wild flower bouquets and blended in the roadside buddleias. Wild flower bouquets are another sign that I am home.
I always laugh. There are times when things feel "Frencher than French" and these are some of them!
Pat and Graeme pulled in at almost 2:30 on the dot. We settled a bit and in no time, we were enjoying that Cru Bourgeois AND catching up. Even with the joys of Facebook, email, and other connecting opportunities; there were some rather long stories that I've been telling Pat: "This is one for over a nice glass of Cahors (even though this was a Haute-Medoc)!"
We caught up!
Planning to hang out in Figeac today and then enjoy a gentle, leisurely meander through tiny villages on our way back to the Chatette this evening.
On to the day!
Happy Monday!
