Fridays have often been wine box milking days for Eric and I. In all the years we've been sharing this experience together, I don't remember Stew ever joining in.
Heading over to have a little wine together on my last Friday in New Orleans for a while, I decided to bring a nice bottle of Cahors wine. It was a gift from my sister and her husband. It just seemed like I should enjoy it with friends before my departure. I was so glad I did.
BUT first, we had to go upstairs and check out the apartment that the guys have been working on to get ready for mutual friends. It's always been a special place because Eric's Mom lived there. With her passing, it has taken on a whole new face but very much in the "spirit of Marion!"
So much so that Marion's Sweetie Cat makes frequent visits over there. We were all communing together on Friday. It was fun to sit in the front room. The place is gorgeous. Sweetie and Louie joined us and everything felt special. Marion was with us. There was no doubt she approved!
Back downstairs and cracking open that Atrium Cahors, Eric and I oohed and aahed about how amazingly wonderful it was.
So smooth, so tasty and so CAHORS! We oohed and aahed with such gusto!
Stew actually joined in with us.
Although I know I will see them again before I go, it was really fun to have an "A Bientot Y'all" toast together!
Louie and Sweetie weren't far behind!
Happy Sunday, Y'All!
