Just a little sunshine can make a huge difference. Having a week without phone and internet is bad enough, but when you mix rain and cold into a life that is already in disarray, dangling and struggling; it could spell disaster.
It didn't.
But, I certainly had moments of wondering why everything was so difficult.
It also caused me to reflect on what I had done in the past when "connectivity" was not woven into every fiber of my life. I began asking myself what were the pieces of my life back then that made everything work so well, back in "the good old days" of here.
Then, in the middle of writing this post this morning my friend Jane called. We'd been talking about catching an amazing flower sale that a nursery just passed Tour de Faure has every year.
I had to say yes. I didn't finish this post and just saved my draft here.
I'd also called Evelyn before we left to see if she wanted to join us. She said not now, but that she'd been just about to call me to see if I wanted to come down to her house and watch the Royal Wedding.
So, I surrendered. This unfinished post will post today and later on sometime I'll share what I learned reflecting on the "good old days!"
Flower heaven in the morning with Jane...Royal Wedding in the afternoon with Evelyn...I couldn't say no!
Happy Saturday!
