Over all the years of here, I have attempted Iris in two spots...the rose garden AND out on the point that is actually land that belongs to the department. My Iris in the rose garden just didn't look comfortable there to me and the beautiful ones out on the point were rolled over by their industrial mower one too many times.
All that to say, I have NO iris of my own anymore.
That leaves me to always enjoying those of others more.
My neighbors have this pretty deep purple patch, AND they have some gorgeous lavender that I lust after.
I need to clear, prune, and resituate myself here to see what it is I already have.
There may be new, or I might just decide that what I have is enough.
My usual summer flower fun focuses on the terrace and the window boxes.
It's the rest of the land offers a host of locations and other opportunities. We shall see.
By the time I get done dealing with what I have, more may not be so attractive!
I'm betting on the "less is more!"
Happy Tuesday!
