All the years I've lived here, it never crossed my mind to have food delivered here to the Chatette until the pandemic.
I still rode into Cajarc on my bike or got a ride in with my friend, but as time went on I rode my bike from less to not at all and still went in with my friend.
At Thanksgiving I wanted special, and I found Maison Thiriet on my FB page. After that first experience at Thanksgiving, I was sold. I now have my routine and have tried many of their items. As I've said, everything I've had is "gourmet" in my book.
This order, I treated myself to some of their artisanal ice cream and select ice cream bars. Sometimes it's nice to have a little special, even if it's only Lola and I who enjoy it!\
I place my order on line. I have it delivered between 8-9 on whatever delivery day is available, and Maxim is here like clock work. It's gotten to the point that I like to sit on the "stoop" and wait for him.
I know he will arrive within the designated time, but his habit is almost 8 on the dot.
I went out to wait this morning.
The steps were a little damp, but I was able to read a bit, line up all 3 phones just in case, and even sneak in some beautiful morning sunrise shots.
The pandemic has given me permission to do something I've never done before...order frozen food and have it delivered. And, above all...enjoy it!
In the past, I considered it something for "old" people and expected that it would be too expensive and of lesser quality. NONE of that is true! I have found a new joy in my life and something I look forward to every month.
Huge Merci to Maison Thiriet and Maxim for bringing ease and a joy to my Cadrieu life!
Happy Tuesday!
