Last night's and this morning's blue moon was stunning...always different and I always feel lucky to have caught them at all.
What was even better was discovering I was actually able to catch a planet in one of the shots from last night.
That's a treat for me.
Having had such great success before getting around to cutting some grass was a good thing. I was centered and in a positive place. Good thing! When I stopped for the day I looked to see what was ahead of me...a forest of bamboo!
It isn't insurmountable, but just another diversion from my main mission.
I inspected everything and came to realize that the bamboo was actually holding up one of my favorite trees who hasn't been doing too well. It made me smile to think they were out there taking care of each other.
Everything is growing like crazy...brambles, wisteria, bamboo, buddleia and on and on.
I have a jungle.
Then, it hit me. I am going to live with my jungle. In the past, I would have run around like a crazy person and got us to the place where we were as manicured as we could be...Manicured No More! I always teased that my friends' gardens were so fine and manicured and we were just a little "sauvage!" Well now, Wild is Us!
I'd already had the aha about the brambles and the buddleias...they have their downside, but when they are flowering and we have blackberries, I'm in heaven.
Now, I'll cut down enough bamboo so the lawnmower can make its way through the yard, but if it is holding up a friend and/or working their own magic...we will find a way for them to stay.
I stood in the middle of all the various marauders that were all so lush and green.
Of course, it's beautiful!
But, what I saw was...
...the plump blackberries on every bramble, the many colored buddleias in the spring and summer, the 2 varieties of lavender wisterias, my sweet pink tree flowering in the spring supported by a very sturdy bamboo or two, and wisps of red vine ready to turn and treat us in the fall. And of course, there are still the roses!
Everyone is staying.
So are we!
Our choice is living in harmony!
Happy Monday!
