With 5000 miles and an ocean between us, my sister and I have turned finding small sweet things to mail to each other into an almost science.
I've written before about the package of The du Louvre that she mailed to me before the holidays.
This died in the wool coffee fanatic fell in love with this tea.
Of course, there's the romance and memories of Paris and the Louvre, but this was so much more.
I'd placed my own order and tried another Louvre variety (there are only two).
After thinking of my stateside friends and family who loved Paris and/or had been to the Louvre with me, I sent a few tea packages in handmade valentines over to them.
One bag gives you a pot, or for me-almost 4 full cups.
Close your eyes, savor your tea, feel the warmth of your cup in your hand, and in no time you will be relaxing in the garden terraces of the Louvre or taking a walk on a beautiful, sunshiny day in the Tuileries gardens.
I did a good job of depleting my own stock, so I ordered more and also threw in a couple of tea cups for fun. I enjoy the tea so much. Then, with Auntie Pam arriving to take care of Lola, I thought this might be nice to have around for her. She might fall in love with it as much as I have.
Maybe we can't do it in person with the people we love for now, but we can share the memories and moments. I don't know about you, but these days I'm grateful we shared Paris and the Louvre at all!
Happy Saturday!
