With all the extreme heat these last few days, sometimes black and white gives the illusion of it being a little cooler than it is. At least, I tell myself that sometimes. Ah, the tricks we try to feel more comfortable in the heat when cool isn't really possible.
Another of those tricks is to close the wooden shutters over the already double glazed windows, for even more protection. Since this side of the house is insulated, but the guest room/bath room side isn't, I also shut the door between them and the atrium.
That lasted all of the first day. Lola doesn't like when she can't go where she wants, so the last two days she has managed to open that door on her own. It's best to surrender that one.
She's also found a new spot that teases her to see if she can escape through the closed wooden shutters. This one, I won and she surrendered!
With the shutters closed the light and shadows are different.
I seem to be learning to flow with whatever makes the seasons work.
It's making me live even more in the moment than usual and just responding and reacting as I go along!
All good!
The less resistance the better these days!
Happy Father's Day!
Happy Sunday!
