Preparing for yesterday's workshops on Friday, the last 2 color ink cartridges on my printer gave out. It refused to print, even just in black and white as it had when this happened the last time. So, I shut the works down and headed over to the Esplanade Bus to get myself to the Office Depot on St. Charles. I knew that if I got off on Jackson Avenue, I could walk the rest of the way pretty easily. All along the ride, I searched for a way to treat myself to turn this journey into something fun, instead of just another chore that interrupted my progress. I lost count of the number of hotels and restaurants on that side of the street, but soon an old friend jumped out at me...The Please U. I didn't know if it was still there, so finding it was a real joy. Chore completed, I came back and treated msyelf to a nice lunch...but, you'll have to come back tomorrow for the rest of the story.
