...all the best to a group of students from the Tulane School of Social Work who are heading out all over the world shortly, as part of the Global Certificate Program. Most will be placed in International Field Placements (Haiti, Houston, Ecuador, Jordan, South Africa, Rwanda, and India) for the whole fall semester, while others will be accompanying Dean Ron Marks for a one-month placement in India. I'm pleased and proud to say that I am teaching the on-line Capstone Seminar for the Global Certificate students this semester. We have already had our first class face-to-face, and have completed a dry-run to be sure that the on-line discussion plans will work as we'd hoped, and so far: all systems are go. None of us know what lies ahead over the next 30-90 days or so, but I would venture: fun, excitement, discovery, adventure, epiphany...and lots of hard work, contribution and adjustment. All the best to my class. Even though we will be connecting regularly on-line...See you in December!
