...saying thank you is important. There aren't enough words, plants, wine, or goodies in the world to thank my sister Kat and her husband Tom for all that they do to hold down the fort in St. Louis for our parents. And as if that weren't enough to contend with, we all have other issues swirling around in our lives. Kat was a rock and someone I could count on when I had my own things (beyond Mom and Dad) that seemed to be spinning out of control. We have been there for each other.
So, if you'd have seen two crazy women in the middle of Anthropolgie clinging to each other and crying...that would have been us. I'd given her a gift card in the store and we just lost it and boo-hooed together. On to Crate and Barrel where I had a milk frother on my list. When I told the sales associate that Kat was buying it for me, she said: "What a nice friend you have." I then let her know that Kat was my sister. To which she added: "You can be friends and sisters too!" We laughed because there is actually quite a list! Thanks for being there for me this year Kat-and yes, we are lucky to have each other!
I'm smiling...KB :)
