Coming into the home stretch of another semester of teaching adjunct at the Tulane School of Social Work, I teased someone the other day that I feel a little bit like I'm graduating. Once I wrap this semester, I won't be back in New Orleans again for any length of time before January of 2015. By then, the school will have moved to its new downtown location. It's a bitter sweet move for most. Even though we've outgrown this building, so many of us have such wonderful memories. The move is a good one for me. It's a much easier bike ride from home, and means no bus transfers to the street car. I must say, I'm going to miss the oaks the most.
