I've mentioned many times how much I miss the old oaks along Lelong in City Park. Before the storm, they lined both sides up this road that brings you into City Park, head on straight to the New Orleans Museum of Art. As you can see, it was a heart-breaking sight.
These days, I find joy in the new. The azalea trees have bloomed beautifully in the past. Sunday's greens were so green, you'd have thought we found a whole 'nother shade. Every new season brings more, prettier, greener and an excitement in the new and what is on the horizon.
