Getting my mail to the states can be interesting. I've realized through the years of living in France that each of my "poste-ing" options brings different results. I have four: Cajarc, Cahors, Figeac, and Cadrieu. Although Cahors and Figeac are larger cities, my mail seems to get to the states in the most timely manner from Cajarc.
I most often choose to walk my mail up to our post box in Cadrieu. It's right next to the Mairie. It gets picked up Monday through Friday around 10am, and then heads out from Cajarc. When Dali was with me, we passed by regularly on our walks. These days, I combine trips to the poubelle (trash) with my trips to the poste box.
