After enjoying a crowd free morning in Montmartre, I scooped the Metro at the Abbesses stop and headed down to Concorde where I would pick up my Carte Musee at the Orangerie. Communing with Monet was on the top of my list! It was close to 11:30 by the time I arrived, and I was not alone. The line for those of us without tickets was huge, but the time passed quickly as I chatted with the couple in front of me who were retired park service rangers from Montana. After communing with Monet and museum pass in hand; I headed to an iron chair in the Tuileries to regroup a bit and see what was next. I realized that my love affair with chairs in Paris began with these green metal chairs in the Palais Royale in 1992. On the Seine side of the Orangerie: the crowds were much smaller; I could find empty chairs; and, a little planning peace!
