The Chatette has been full of bouquets of buddleia this summer. It was only right that I do something special with buddleia in the barn for the apero evening.
I'd found the old gas can that I'd put flowers in before, et voila. It was pretty and it held that door open easily.
I find floral bouquets don't last very long in the Chatette. The buddleias are pretty for a few days at the most and then begin to go to seed and lose their color.
Getting ready to head back to the states at the end of the week, I've been in and out of the barn. The ladder needed to come back into the house. I needed to decide what I was going to do with the photos that had been hung.
And now, almost a week later our barn buddleias are still going strong and look fresh and beautiful. I'd like to say it's just the special magic of the barn, but I have noticed that it is a cooler, dryer place that makes flowers happy. She makes me happy too!
